we had a great stay at the mcinnes house hotel! the staff were super friendly n made us feel welcome right away. the surroundings were beautiful, like a winter wonderland, and we even built a snowman! the breakfast was delish, just like the dinner. joining the local new year's celebrations was the icing on the cake!
there were a couple of hiccups, like the room being a bit chilly at first and some noisy windows. also, we had a hard time with the hot water on one morning.

Incredible Hospitality and Delicious Food
The stay was absolutely delightful, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. I particularly enjoyed the fresh, local produce used in their meals, including a standout Sunday carvery that was simply exceptional. The cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home, and I loved the charming decor throughout. the shower in our room could use a little more attention to cleanliness.

Caught the freshest fish at Ghillies Cellar Bar & Bistro—definitely a taste of the Highlands! Plus, our small double room was styled just right, and breakfast was a solid start to the day.
We booked a double room but had to duck under the funky ceilings with our bulging bags. some quirky maintenance issues slightly dampened the vibe.

Our stay was absolutely lovely, especially when we enjoyed the cozy bath after a long day and the delightful breakfast that filled us up for our hikes. The garden area was a fantastic spot to unwind and the leisure room offered a great place to relax. The hot tub wasn’t functional, but honestly, it didn’t bother us since we were informed ahead of time. Don’t miss trying the local Haggis when you visit! 😊

missingWrote a review on May 14
Location near the park offers a great base for exploring, and the parking lot was always bustling, a good sign for food. The house's charm blends Victorian decor with modern touches, creating a unique atmosphere that felt both cozy and inviting.
Some rooms, like the small double in Room 3, may feel cramped, which could be bothersome, especially for couples looking for space. The TV reception struggled to pick up basic channels, making downtime less enjoyable. Amenities lacked basic supplies like soap and shower gel, and the shower controls had missing knobs, which might be a hassle for some, although it remained functional. Carrying bags up to the third floor without an elevator can be inconvenient, as well as limited access to toilet rolls unless formally requested.

I had a fantastic stay at McInnes House, enjoying the cozy atmosphere and the stunning winter landscape. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the food surpassed my expectations. While the room could've been a bit warmer, the overall experience more than made up for it.
